About quartzite
Marble beauty,
granite toughness.
Quartzite starts as sandstone and is pressed and heated deep underground until the grains fuse into a dense, crystalline stone. It carries the soft whites, greys and warm veining people love in marble, but it is harder than granite and shrugs off heat.
Every slab is quarried, so color and movement vary from block to block. Walk the yard with us and tag the exact slab, then we lay your pieces out on it so the best veining lands on the island.

Quartzite care
Simple habits keep
quartzite like new.
Quartzite is one of the toughest countertops we install. Care comes down to sealing and spills.
01
Clean with a damp cloth and soap
Any pH-neutral cleaner is safe. Skip vinegar and bleach.
02
Hot pans are fine
Quartzite forms under heat and handles the stove.
03
Reseal about once a year
Or once with our lifetime sealant. Water should bead on the surface.
04
Wipe acidic spills
Lemon and wine will not etch true quartzite, but can stain if left overnight.
