About marble
The original
countertop stone.
Marble is limestone transformed by heat and pressure into the white, grey and gold-veined stone that has covered kitchens and baths for centuries. It stays cool to the touch, which is why bakers love it, and no engineered stone quite matches the depth of its veining.
It is also softer than granite or quartzite. Marble etches and scratches with use, so we talk honestly about where it belongs and how you live before we recommend it for a kitchen.

Marble care
Marble rewards
a little attention.
Marble is the one stone we install that reacts to acids. These habits keep it looking the way it did on install day.
01
Wipe acids right away
Lemon, wine, vinegar and tomato etch the polish within minutes.
02
Use pH-neutral cleaner
Soap and water or a stone cleaner. Never vinegar, bleach or scouring powder.
03
Reseal every 6 months
Or once with our lifetime sealant. Water should bead on the surface.
04
Use boards and trivets
Marble scratches with knives and can crack from sudden heat on thin edges.
